Hey there, we’re Yennie, Truffles and Chai.
A family of travelers inspired by beautiful places, meaningful moments, and the joy of exploring with our dogs.
Together with my husband, Andre, we’ve spent years discovering the world as a family — from neighborhood walks in Washington, DC to cross-country road trips through 46 states and dozens of national parks. Traveling with our dogs has shaped how we move through the world: slower, more intentionally, and always with curiosity. Truffles & Chai is our visual journal — a place to share stories, guides, and design-forward inspiration for living and traveling beautifully with your pups.
How it all began.
Travel has always been part of our lives, but everything shifted when Truffles joined our family. We were told we wouldn’t travel as much anymore, so we packed the car and explored even more. We learned that traveling with dogs isn’t a limitation; it’s an invitation to slow down, look closer, and savor the small moments that make every journey meaningful. When Chai came along, our adventures continued to evolve — from coastal drives to quiet mornings in minimalist cabins. This space grew from a desire to document it all: the light, the landscapes, and the feeling of discovering the world together.
What we believe.
We believe travel should feel intentional, beautiful, and welcoming — for both humans and their dogs. We seek out design-forward stays, scenic routes that make you pause, and destinations that embrace curiosity and connection. We believe in slow mornings, in spaces that feel like home, and in journeys shaped by companionship. And above all, we believe life’s too short to leave your best friends behind. Every dog deserves to see more than their backyard.
